Food Ministry at Canterbury

At Canterbury, we reach out to the community through food assistance in two ways. The first is our "Deacon's Deli" Tuesday morning food ministry, where families in need of assistance are provided groceries. The second is four Meals on Wheels teams which alternate the fourth Sundays of each month to prepare meals for those in need in Tuscaloosa.

Deacon's Deli Outreach Ministry

Every Tuesday morning, parishoners work with families in our community to provide groceries for those in need. We operate with food from donations and through the West Alabama Food bank. Donations are always needed and gratefully accepted in our Student Center, in the "Deacon's Deli" basket. When schedules allow, our students & residents work together to prepare breakfast to share in a meal and fellowship with families in our community. Our mission here at Canterbury is to make sure that everyone is invited to the table. This year we are starting a new local food initiative for our food ministry. Please visit our Homegrown Alabam Farmer's Market page for more information on this new ministry.

If you are in need...
